Did you know that plastic bags are used for an average of 12 minutes and take more than 500 years to degrade in a landfill? Plastic use is getting out of control and everyone has to try to ease that. It not only harms our world but it also puts animals in danger! Turtles get straws stuck in their noses, whales have bellies full of plastic bags and over 100,000 animals die annually from plastic bags.
We all have to consciously try to decrease our plastic bag and plastic material usage. Here are 5 simple ways you can do that!

Use a Reusable Cup

Coffee and drink cups fill landfills. So do water bottles! Think if you get coffee 4 times a week that’s 208 cups per year in a landfill just from you! Now multiply that by everyone else getting coffee. So much waste and a ton of trash! Even if you bring your own cup 2 times a week it’ll really cut down on trash.
Here are a reusable coffee cup and a water bottle.
Use Tupperware

Instead of Ziplocs, use Tupperware to store food.
Plastic does more harm than good for not just our planet, but also the wildlife that populates it. The time has come for us to move away from plastic and switch to less toxic materials. These are just a few options but we hope they help!
