Mother of Dragons out.
The end of Game of Thrones draws near, and though the wait for the final season seems eternal for fans (will 2019 ever arrive?), many members of the cast have already hung up their furs for good.
Emilia Clarke — AKA “Daenerys of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, The Unburnt, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Queen of Meereen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Protector of the Realm, Lady Regnant of the Seven Kingdoms, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons” — took to Instagram with an emotional farewell to the show that made her a household name.
“Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade,” she captioned a selfie laying in the grass. “It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing #💔#lastseasonitis.”
To make the tears keep flowing, look no further than the replies from her cast mates Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo), and John Bradley (Samwell Tarly).
The cast have been enjoying each others’ company as of late, including a trip to Ireland where Momoa shared a ton of pics.
“I’m so grateful to be apart of the greatest show on earth,” he wrote. “I’m honored to be able to come to Ireland and celebrate with my friends. I’m just here for kisses and hugs and The black stuff 😜😜😜😜. mahalo David and Dan you are legends . Congrats to the talented crew and cast. Aloha j”
But really — what are we going to do when this is over?!
At least there are sequels and prequels in the works.
