Cardi B has become a worldwide phenomenon with her music, extremely outgoing personality, and her humorous attitude. Not only has she helped bring more light to Latin culture and music, she is extremely proud of her Dominican upbringing and being raised in the streets of Bronx, NY.
Before her career skyrocketed, Cardi B was actually on VH1’s “Love and Hip-Hop” back in 2015 up until 2017 and she has definitely come a long way since then. Since the launch of her most well-known song, “Bodak Yellow”, Cardi B has definitely created a name for herself in the entertainment industry and beyond.
She recently has become the first female rapper to have two No. 1 singles. Of course her iconic song “Bodak Yellow” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top 100 charts. Her fresh summer single “I Like It” featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin has recently also reached No. 1 on the same Billboard Chart, letting her reach and create music history. The song is also Bad Bunny and J Balvin’s No. 1 song as well.
This is not only historic for them but the latin community, that all of them are a part of, in which is represented in the song and music video. Having representation matters and being able to see these three Latin artists reach the top and make history is not only inspiring but incredible to witness. The song is from Cardi’s studio album Invasion of Privacy which you can check out on Spotify, Youtube and Apple Music.
