Kylie Jenner’s Net Worth Is More Than Double Kim Kardashian’s

Who would have thought that the youngest from the Kardashian/Jenner clan would be making history? Well, on Wednesday, July 11, that’s exactly what makeup mogul and mom of one Kylie Jenner did.

Kylie, taking after the likes of her older sisters Kim and Khloe practically broke the internet when her cover for the latest issue of the money-making magazine, Forbes, hit social media. Titled “America’s Women Billionaires”, the cover makes a note to point out that at just 20-years-old, Kylie is set to make history as the “$900 million cosmetics queen” will become the youngest ever self-made billionaire.

The magazine notes that her sister Kim, who is typically viewed as the most lucrative sister has a net worth way lower than Kylie’s. The magazine predicts Kim’s net worth is merely $350 million, while Kylie’s is $900 million. Kylie is worth almost two and a half more than Kim.

Back in 2016, when her older sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney were coming off of their reign as Hollywood’s “It” girls, younger half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner took over. While Kendall chose to focus on her modeling career, Kylie instead chose to branch off into the world of cosmetics and launched her nearly billion-dollar cosmetics company, Kylie Cosmetics.

“I struggled for a minute with finding something to do on my own,” Kylie told Forbes. Kylie told the magazine that her idea to form Kylie Cosmetics eventually came from a childhood pastime saying, “Ever since I was in sixth grade, I would wear purple eyeshadow. I turned to makeup to help me feel more confident.”

Since its launch in 2016, of Kylie’s first makeup product, her signature $29 Lip Kit that includes a lip liner and liquid lipstick, Kylie’s brand has expanded rapidly and has since expanded selling everything from concealers to brushes to her second most popular product within her brand, her eyeshadow palettes. With Kyshadows and Kylighters selling out in seconds after each launch, the mag has valued Kylie’s company at more than $800 million and expects that Kylie will hit the billion-dollar mark within just a few months.

Following the news of Kylie’s Forbes cover circulating social media, Kylie’s cover and title of being “self-made” was met with some harsh criticism on Twitter.

Despite the backlash, the social media queen thanked Forbes for the honor and had tons of other congratulatory messages from makeup gurus and the like.

No matter what people may think of Kylie’s title, one Twitter user pointed out that no matter what personal feelings you may have toward Kylie, her #girlboss life is definitely one to aspire to.

On the cusp of her 21st birthday, Kylie is set to be well on her way to billionaire status as it’s been noted that she owns 100 percent of her cosmetics company.

Of her future with her company, Kylie told the magazine that she could very well wind up working on Kylie Cosmetics “forever,” although she’d consider handing over the business to her daughter Stormi Webster “if she’s into it.”

In the meantime, Kylie Jenner will continue to reign as our Queen of all things trendy and glam, all while giving us major #bosslady goals.
