Emelia Holden was simply doing her job when a customer grabbed her backside. The 21-year-old acted quickly and threw the man to the ground.
She was taking orders at Vinnie Van Go-Go’s, a pizza place, in Savannah, Georgia when the man assaulted her. In the security footage, you can see the man walks by Holden while she’s at a workstation. He purposely reached out and cups her butt in passing. Holden had a quick reaction and grabbed him from behind and threw him down to the ground. The police were called and he was arrested.

According to the Daily Mail, the assault happened a little before 11:00 P.M. on June 30. Holden’s co-worker called the police and the man spent two nights in prison and was released on July 2.
After Holden puts the man in a headlock and throws him to the ground she begins yelling at him. She throws him down with so much force that he moves the counter that she was putting in orders at.
“I just did what I felt was best. I took the guy down and had my co-workers call the police,” Holden said. “As soon as the cops saw the CCTV footage, they immediately arrested the man. He sat in jail until Monday so, in my opinion, he got what he deserved.”
Unfortunately, women experiencing workplace harassment isn’t uncommon. Holden wants women everywhere to know that they have the right to stick up for themselves even while at work.
“All that I want from my experience is for women to know that it’s okay to stand up for yourself,” Holden stated. “You have every right to wear what you want and you most certainly have every right to defend yourself.”
