There’s nothing like a classic game of “Never Have I Ever” to spice up a party when things start to lag. The simple concept of asking your friends embarrassing and scandalous questions that you would never have the cajones to ask sober allows for you to get to know them on a more intimate level.
The concept of “Never Have I Ever” is pretty easy and to-the-point and the option play with or without alcohol makes this game 10 times more fun and exciting. Basically, the rules are as follows: everyone who is playing holds up a set number of fingers (usually between 3 and 10). Then everyone takes turns going around in a circle with each person saying, “Never have I ever, [insert something you’ve never done here].” If you or any of the players have done whatever it is, you put down one finger (and take a sip of your drink if you are playing with alcohol). Whoever has all of their fingers down first wins — or technically loses.
See, it’s easy as pie when you think about it and once you’ve decided on what alcohol you and your friends plan on drinking, the hardest part comes in determining what questions you want to use during the game.
And while playing it safe doesn’t rock the boat, turning things up a notch and asking more risque questions can make for a more exciting game.
