Ariana Grande Broke Her Social Media Break Already

On July 23 Ariana Grande tweeted that she is going to take a breather from Twitter and Instagram for a while. The reasoning being behind the negative stuff she’s been seeing on her feeds. The announcement was posted on Twitter when a fan realized that Grande was posting on her Snapchat again.

Grande replied to the fan and explained why she was back on Snap. “yeh ! i’m prolly gonna post on der for a little while & take a breather from twitter & ig for a little,” she tweeted. “just sometimes can’t help but bump into some negative shit that really can bum u out and it’s not worth it honestly. promised i’d always tell you. i love u sm ! be well & happy”

But then a mere day after announcing her social media hiatus Grange posted a selfie on Instagram. I’m not even judging! It’s just really funny and ironic. The comments on the photo has been turned off, which is a new thing Grande has been doing.

Grande turning off her comments is connected as to why she’s taking a social media breather. She and her fiance Pete Davidson always comment back and forth on their posts and it has caused some unnecessary drama. Their most recent exchange didn’t go over well, which caused Davidson to also take a social media breather.

He deleted or archived all of his posts and announed he was taking a break on his story.

“no there’s nothing wrong. no nothing happened. no there’s nothing cryptic about anything. i just don’t wanna be on Instagram anymore. or on any social media platform. the internet is an evil place and it doesn’t make me feel good. why should i spend any time on a negative energy when my real life is f***ing lit. the fact that i even have to say this proved my point. i love you all and i’m sure i’ll be back at some point 🙂

your neighborhood goon,
pete”

Unlike Davidson, Grande has been on social media. She’s in the middle of promoting her new album Sweetener so she can’t be totally gone. She’s been posting promos on her Twitter and Instagram stories, which is expected. But overall she’s been posting less, which counts as a breather to me.
