You don’t get to call yourself “Bad Gal RiRi” or snag a rich billionaire bae without learning a trick or two. As if the makeup mogul and singer isn’t badass enough, Rihanna, who just became the first African American woman to ever grace the cover of British Vogue‘s September cover, is giving single gals around the world some pretty one-of-kind dating advice so ladies, listen up!
At 30-years-old Rihanna is busy living her best life. Aside from running multiple businesses, the singer and star of Oceans 8 is busy taking over the world and influencing thousands of her fans daily. Between her gives no f***ks attitude, modelesque body and looks and sassy charm, the style icon has had her fair share of heartbreak and sizzling romances while seeming to live her dream life.
So when the 30-year-old sat down to talk with British Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, Rihanna kept it real AF (of course) and even gave singletons everywhere some sage dating advice.
When talking about the expectations of dating someone, RiRi kept things one hundred saying, “I think a lot of people meet people and then they’re dating the idea of what the person could become, and that person never shows up, and then they’re just mad disappointed.”
RiRi went on to say that when it comes to dating, it’s important to accept your partner for who they are first and foremost instead of falling in love with the possibility of them changing.
“A person can always get better, they can always get worse, but you’ve got to be fine with what you met them as.”
The Barbadian native is no stranger to dating, and despite being rich and famous, Rihanna continues to prove just how relatable and down-to-earth she is even if she is currently booed up with billionaire Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel.
Just a few weeks ago while on vacation with Jameel, the couple was snapped in what looked to be a heated argument the two were having. After the photo surfaced on social media, the picture quickly became memed with tons of fans speculating what the two were going back and forth about. Rihanna later addressed the photo and let fans know that the two were still very much together and happy and that the pair was just having a very passionate discussion about soccer.
With the Savage Fenty mogul dropping gems like the one in Vogue, it’s hard not to stan Rihanna and take her advice to heart. With dating apps, ghosting and orbiting taking over, it’s nice to have a celebrity on our side who gets what it’s like to date nowadays.
