Bachelor in Paradise has quickly turned into the Colton Underwood and Tia Booth show. Love them or hate them, they’re bringing the drama this season, and one of them might be going solon soon. Typically anyone who goes on to Bachelor in Paradise signed away their chance to get their own dramatic love story play out on their very own season of The Bachelor or Bachelorette. Colton could be the exception to that.
To catch everyone up to speed: Tia and Colton went on a few dates. Colton left to film Becca’s season of The Bachelorette. Tia tells Becca she’s over Colton. Tia later tells Becca she lied and is still into him. Colton gets dumped. Colton and Tia both single and not on any show don’t speak to each other. Tia goes on Bachelor in Paradise. Tia kisses Chris Randone who was on the same season of Bachelorette as Colton. Colton then joins Bachelor in Paradise. Colton asks Tia out on a date. They kiss. Colton then tells Tia he is going to see other people. Tia says she is no one’s second option. Tia gives Chris her rose. Becca shows up in Paradise. Colton cries. Chris claims to be only interested in Tia. Chris makes out with multiple girls.
Got it?
It’s incredible that Chris can out-douche Colton to this extent, but that’s why Bachelor in Paradise is such a treat.

But getting out-douched but someone doesn’t give Colton the golden ticket to the Bachelor. People are theorizing that he is a strong contender for the next season, maybe even the front-runner.
The fans are split on how they feel about the Colton drama. Is he genuine? Is he annoying?

The divide in the fandom is a plus. Fans are so loyal that they’re still going to watch the show even if the Bachelor sucks (hello, Arie Luyendyk) but Colton guarantees that rabid Bachelor Nation will be tweeting up a storm during his season.
Then when the producers brought in Becca, that sealed the deal. They showed Colton in the middle of a love triangle with two girls, Tia and Becca, and how he would react and it was emotional. At the mere sight of Becca, he started breaking down.

Imagine if this man had to choose between a couple of dozen girls? Imagine him picking between two girls at the end? We would get some grade A drama because he can’t make up his mind and doesn’t do well in high-pressure situations.
Bachelor fans know that the drama on the show has been lacking. Colton may be the ticket to a rating spike and good TV.
On top of Colton’s indecisiveness, he is also a virgin. Fans know that the show loves to tease physical chemistry and putting a virgin as the Bachelor would be perfect rating bait.
