As a college student, the struggle is real when every last penny you own has to go towards paying for tuition, books, room and board, gas, notebooks, soap, and toilet papers. After buying that ridiculous $200 per one textbook, there might be no money left for you to enjoy some high-class meals with your partner.
That’s not surprising as most typical dates can be expensive. Going out to eat after seeing a movie can easily result in $50 or more spent in one night. But there are still plenty of chances to enjoy some romantic and cheap dates that focus on reconnecting with your partner so you can keep the spark alive. Especially in this one of the most scenic times of the year.
So get outside, soak up the sunshine and crisp air. Here are some fun activities for you and your other half to enjoy.
Apple Picking

It’s apple season! Find a nearby orchard and go apple picking. Spend the next few weeks egregiously making baked apples: slice a few up and bake in the oven with a little butter and sprinkled with brown sugar until they look like you want to eat them. The baked goods will make your apartment smells amazing, too!
Go To A Pumpkin Patch

The color of fall is majorly orange because of all these pumpkin products! Remember going to the pumpkin patch as kids? I guarantee it’s so much more fun as adults, especially adults in love. Get two pumpkins and spend the night carving them and watching your favorite scary movies. When you’re done with the pumpkins you can roast the seeds for a yummy movie snack! I recommend the Scream series or the first two Halloween movies.
Go Camping

Spend a weekend outdoors in the woods surrounded by beautiful fall foliage. Just spend the day biking, hiking, or just simply walking or sitting outside. Take some maple leaves home for decoration or turn them into bookmarks. The quality time with nature will definitely help you connect with your other half.
Corn Theme Date

You can make this a fun daytime adventure, If you and your partner are up for something spookier, consider finding a “haunted” corn maze to explore in the evening. Getting lost in rows and rows of corn might seem terrifying on your own, but when you have your sweetheart by your side, it suddenly becomes an insanely fun game. Plus, just think about the epic game of hide-and-seek you could have?! Talk about bringing the fun back into dating!
Haunted House

This is the perfect excuse to literally jump into your partner’s arms. But make sure you check in with your partner to see how much scare they can handle and plan accordingly.
Spend A Ridiculous Amount Of Time Planning For Halloween

Shutterstock
Enter a costume contest (lots of bars in your city will have one) that night. Or just have fun will all the compliments you’ll get. Bond while carving pumpkins together for your front porch/ dorm room will also add some festive flair.
Head To Your Local Coffee Shop

Pumpkin spice latte season is here! And it doesn’t last forever, so take advantage of the season and PSL it up one morning. Grab the seasonal concoction or some baked goods with your loved one and enjoy each other’s company. It really is that simple.
Get Tickets To A Football Game

‘Tis the season for cheering on your high school, college, and NFL teams.
Have A Halloween-Theme Movie Night

With Halloween just around the corner, it’s all about spooky stuff. Stay in with your favorite scary movies and a bunch of junk food is one of my favorite ways to celebrate the holiday, even before it’s actually here. Snuggle up and pick the scariest movies you can find. By the way, you know the new Halloween movie is coming out, right?
Bundle Up And Star Glaz

Whether you go camping, head to a nearby park, or pile a ton of pillows and blankets into the back of a pickup, stargazing can be done easily, and only costs a little gas money. You can also bust out the bonfire if you are in the wild to keep warm as the temperature drops.
