Three teenagers were arrested for basically orchestrating the second bling ring, robbing celebrities homes. The three teenage boys have targeted Rihanna, Christian Milian, baseball player Yasiel Puig and French singer Mattieu “M. Pokora” Torta.
People reports that on September 27, the three teenagers were taken in by the Los Angeles Police Department under suspicion for robbing homes. The three teenagers, Jshawne Lamon Daniels, 19, Tyress Lavon Williams, 19, and Damaji Corey Hall, 18, were pulled over right after robbing football player Robert Woods’ home.
Once they were pulled over the cops noticed stolen paraphernalia from Woods in their car. They were detained and later arrested.
The LAPD got a search warrant and found stolen designer bags, jewelry, watches, $50,000 in cash and a stolen car. During their search, they found a potential hit list of celebrities who they were going to target next. On the list was Viola Davis, LeBron James and Matt Damon.
Daniels, Williams and Hall were all charged with burglary. Along with the three teenagers, Hall’s mother Ashle Jennifer Hall, 34 was arrested for grand theft in association with the stolen vehicle and the firearm recovered in the car.
Police believe that there are more people involved in this Bling Ring 2.0, so the investigation is still ongoing. Police believe the burglars would “flock” around rich neighborhoods and find a target. Then they would swoop in and steal property before the alarms could notify the owners.
the four people remain in custody and have yet to make pleas. The situation is similar to the Bling Ring, a teenage burglary ring that targeted celebrities houses in 2008 and 2009.
