Are Banks Open/Closed On Veterans Day 2018?

Veterans Day commemorates the brave men and women who have fought for the freedom of the United States. The holiday, that falls on November 11, 2018, is a day to show respect towards any former or current military member by thanking them. There are many ways to thank veterans which include writing letters through Operation Gratitude and A Million Thanks. If you can, take a moment to support veterans by sending a letter.

Not all citizens personally know a soldier, but we’ve all been impacted somehow by one. You’ll be impacted again in your routine bank run. Banks have released whether or not they will be closed on Veterans Day or the Monday after Veterans Day. To make life a little easier we formed a list of which banks are observing the American holiday. Check it out below.

While the majority of banks will be closed on Veterans Day, it is important to check your local bank to see if there are any exceptions. It is advised to get your banking needs done either the Friday before Veterans Day or you’ll have to wait until after the holiday. While the physical bank may be closed, online services are still available and customer support via phone calls will be accessible. ATM’s will also be accessible throughout the holiday.
