The Woolsey Fire in Malibu, which started Thursday, November 8, has grown to a destructive size. The fire is now 85,500 acres in size and only 15 percent contained. It’s estimated that 177 structures were destroyed, including homes, and 57,000 structures are threatened, CAL FIRE reported.
It’s sais that the cause of the Woolsey Fire is still “under investigation.” At this time, CAL FIRE is unsure if the Woolsey Fire was caused by natural means or by human activity. So at the moment what started the fire is a mystery. What we do know it that the strong winds and low humidity with dry conditions combined to help the fire grow as fast as it did.
Among the Malibu residents, many were celebrities that had to evacuate their homes to escape the fire. Many of these celebrities’ homes were destroyed, along with some popular Hollywood filming locations. The list below shows all the celebrities’ homes that were destroyed during the fire so far and some of the famous filming locations.
Shannen Doherty

Shannen Doherty’s home is fine, but her friend’s house isn’t. The home where Shannen Doherty and husband Kurt Iswarienko married in 2011 was destroyed.
Camille Grammer Meyers

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star lost her Malibu home, her publicist confirmed with the Associated Press. Meyers’ said she was grateful that she and her family were able to evacuate safely, and she was grateful for the firefighters who risked their lives. She also said she was grateful for all the love and support that was shown to her.

Gerard Butler’s Malibu home was destroyed by the Woolsey Fire. However, he still took time to thank first responders for working to keep people safe.

Scott Derrickson, director of Doctor Strange, shared photos on Twitter of his destroyed home. He later wrote that they would be digging through the rubble on Monday, but the only items they found perfectly intact so far included a glass, a plant, and a toy.

The famous Paramount Ranch was mostly destroyed by the fire. The site is home to many Westworld shoots, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, and many other films.
