After being engaged for roughly a year, Paris Hilton and Chris Zylka have called off their engagement and break up. TMZ reports that Hilton called it quits a few weeks ago. The reason behind her change of heart is that he simply just wasn’t the one.
On New Year’s Day Paris and Chris got engaged while in Aspen. “I said Yas!” Paris wrote on Instagram. “So happy & excited to be engaged to the love of my life. My best friend & soulmate. Perfect for me in every way. So dedicated, loyal, loving & kindhearted. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! You are my dream come true! Thank you for showing me that fairytales do exist.”
Chris popped the question while they were up on a mountain.

The engagement ring shocked fans by its sheer size. The ring is a teardrop and costs a cool $2 million. It was designed by Michael Greene and was designed roughly six months before they got engaged. The main diamond is 20 carats and took four months to cut. Many compared her ring to Cardi B’s engagement ring.
In August Paris’ mom, Kathy Hilton said that the couple has pushed back their wedding date. She credited Paris’ busy schedule from preventing her from planning her dream wedding and walking down the aisle. Kathy swore that the couple was still strong and not having prenup issues.
Fast forward a few months and now the couple has broken up.
