Lena Dunham admits she hasn’t spoken to her once close friend Lorde since there were rumors that she slept with Dunham’s boyfriend Jack Antonoff.
About a year ago there were rumors that Antonoff was cheating on Dunham with Lorde. Lorde and Antonoff are friends and work together on music. After Dunham and Antonoff broke up in early 2018, Antonoff and Lorde’s relationship was put under a microscope. The friends denied dating rumors. But then in April, Antonoff performed with Lorde during her Brooklyn Melodrama tour and she sat on his lap.

After the lap incident, a PowerPoint was made stoking the cheating rumors and alluding that Lorde and Anotonoff were together.

The PowerPoint went viral for how poignant and accurate it seemed. It turns out the Dunham has seen the viral PowerPoint and hasn’t spoken to Lorde since her breakup with Antonoff. “Actually, I completely respect this girl because she did a very good job and she was very funny,” Dunham told The Cut about the woman behind the PowerPoint.
Dunham went on to say that the whole cheating incident “was so embarrassing.” Dunham believes that nothing happened between Antonoff and Lorde despite not knowing for sure and being very close with her ex-boyfriend.

“I don’t think anything happened between them. I can never know someone else’s life. I have never spoken to Ella [Lorde] about it. We haven’t talked since Jack and I broke up,” Dunham stated. “It was awful, and I couldn’t do anything about it except trust that what he was saying to me was true.”
Dunham didn’t specify why she stopped talking to Lorde and if it was mutual or one way. But either way, they aren’t friends anymore.
Dunham also went on to say it hurts to see Antonoff’s new girlfriend, Carlotta Kohl, and admittedly has crept through her Instagram. “I thought I was kind of proving weird girls can have love too. And now he’s dating somebody who looks regular and normal and like girls are supposed to look.”

Seems like Dunham has lots to work through in relation to her ex-boyfriend.
