Paris Hilton Says She’s Keeping Her $2 Million Engagement Ring From Her Ex-Fiancé

Paris Hilton is keeping her engagement ring despite calling off her wedding to ex-fiance Chris Zylka.

While on Jenny McCarthy’s Sirius XM radio show, Paris confirmed that she’s keeping the 20-carat, $2 million pear-shaped diamond ring from her ex.

“The person who we got it from got millions and millions of dollars of free publicity,” Hilton told McCarthy. “I love how social media has basically become a new form of money. it’s pretty sick.”

Thus confirming the ring was free and gifted to the couple because of their social status. Before it was only rumored that the $2 million sparkler was free. While a representative for Zylka said that he paid for the ring.

McCarthy then straight up asked the reality star turned DJ if she’s going to keep the ring.

“Yes,” Hilton replied. “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.”

The couple announced their split in November, after being in engaged for 11 months. The reason for their breakup is that Hilton decided Zylka just wasn’t the one anymore.

On New Year’s Day this year, Zylka proposed to Hilton while in Aspen on a ski vacation with her family.

“I said Yas!” Paris wrote on Instagram, which is now deleted. “So happy & excited to be engaged to the love of my life. My best friend & soulmate. Perfect for me in every way. So dedicated, loyal, loving & kindhearted. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! You are my dream come true! Thank you for showing me that fairytales do exist.”

Michael Greene was the designer and jeweler behind the ring who got “millions and millions of dollars of free publicity.”

In August, Paris’ mom Kathy Hilton announced that the couple pushed back their wedding date because of Paris’ busy schedule. She wore that the couple was stronger than ever and they will be getting married.
