We are so close to Valentine’s Day! This is one of my favorite holidays because it’s centered around love, hearts and all things pink! To some, V-Day may spark anxiety because you don’t have a beau or some elaborate plans. However, my suggestion is to do as our favorite ice princess Elsa tells us and “let it go.”

Here are some fun Valentine’s Day ideas for you if you’re alone or with your besties, to make the most of the day.

1. Treat yourself.

We all love this saying, but what does it actually mean? It means that you hold nothing back from yourself for one whole day. Shopping spree? Sign me up! Makeover? I’m there! Pamper yourself and give yourself some self-love. Quite honestly, a delivery of flowers would make me just as happy if I ordered them myself or if they were sent by a guy. Just saying! There’s nothing more powerful than someone who is comfortable in their own skin. You don’t need a significant other to feel loved, be your own valentine!

2. Spa day with your girls.

Facials, massages, saunas and mani/pedi combos…just the thought of it all is relaxing. My suggestion is to find a Groupon so you don’t have to break the bank but can still have a luxurious day with your BFFs.

3. Go on an adventure.

Valentine’s Day this year falls on a Thursday, so it’s basically the weekend. Plan a getaway with your besties! Head to the mountains to work on your snow-bunny looks and go skiing or fly down south for some fun in the sun. Who knows? You could meet the love of your life on this little adventure!

4. Throw an “I hate Valentine’s Day” party.

As much as you don’t want to say it out loud, you know you love the 2010 movie Valentine’s Day. There’s something about all those superstar celebs in one movie that just makes it right. We all know the scene, where our girl Jennifer Garner realizes that her boo is, and I quote, a “lying stinking pig.” She precedes to attend her bestie’s annual anti V-Day party and smashes a heart-shaped piñata.

There is something that looks so cathartic about this scene. Have a get together with your girls, drink some wine and smash a pink heart piñata for all the boys who have wronged you in the past. Oh, and send me an invite, cause I want in on this party too!

5. Go out on a limb.

There is nothing wrong about wanting to go out on a nice date on V-Day. Impossible because you don’t have a significant other? Nothing is impossible. People are always trying to get dates for the most romantic night of the year.

Get out of your comfort zone and take up the offer from that Tinder or Hinge special someone you’ve been talking to. Best case scenario? You meet your soulmate. Worst case scenario? The date is a bust, but hey, you got a meal out of it! I say that’s a win-win in my book.

Hope these suggestions help all the fabulous single people out there! How do you plan on spending Valentine’s Day? Let me know in the comments below. Much love, XOXO.
