The 61st Grammy Awards, music’s biggest night, is here! Grammy is an annual award presented by The Recording Academy to recognize achievements in the music industry. It shares recognition of the music industry as that of the other performance awards such as the Academy Awards, the Emmy Awards, and the Tony Awards.

The 2019 Grammy Awards will be honoring the best achievements from October 1, 2017, to September 30, 2018. The Academy also announced that its four major awards — album of the year, song of the year, record of the year and best new artist–would now include eight nominees instead of five.

Grammy Awards 2019 Host

15-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys will be the host of the 61st annual ceremony, The Academy has officially announced on Tuesday, January 15.

“I know what it feels like to be on that stage, and I’m going to bring that vibe and energy,” Keys said in a press release. “I’m so excited to be the master of ceremonies on the biggest night in music and celebrate the creativity, power, and magic.”

“A dynamic artist with the rare combination of groundbreaking talent and passion for her craft, Alicia Keys is the perfect choice as host for our show,” the Recording Academy President Neil Portnow also added to a statement. “Throughout her exciting career, I have watched her become a powerful force within the music industry and beyond. As an artist who speaks to the power of music, we are thrilled to have her on board for what’s sure to be an unforgettable Grammy Awards.”
