Ariana Grande and the rest of Mac Miller’s fans are upset at the Recording Academy and the late rappers Grammy lost.
After Cardi B won Best Rap Album over Miller, Grande tweeted a series of angry posts.
The first one being “f**k” follow by “trash” and then finally, “THEY INVITED HIS PARENTS OUT. NO.”
Soon after she posted these tweets they were deleted. Cardi fans think Grande was calling the rapper trash, but she cleared up her frustrations.
A fan tweeted, “Ariana isn’t shading Cardi it’s cause Mac didn’t win.”
Grande responded, “Nothing to do with her. Good for her. I promise. I’m sorry.”
Another person responded to Grande about Cardi. “She’s trash tho [for real],” they tweeted.
Grande wasn’t having any of that. “She’s not at all and that’s not what I meant and you know that,” she retorted.
Cardi made it a point to thank Miller on Instagram after she won. She even shared an article that said his parents were rooting for her to win if Miller didn’t.
Grande commented a bunch of black hearts on the post.
Miller died on September 7, 2018, from an overdose. He died from a combination of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.
Miller’s finale album Swimming was nominated for Best Rap Album alongside Cardi’s Invasion Of Privacy, Travis Scott’s Astroworld, Pusha-T’s Daytona and Nipsey Hussle’s Victory Lap. Cardi won and became the first solo female rapper to win Best Rap Album.
