Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to promote your business since the majority of people would expect a romantic dinner at restaurants or some love-themed gifts. According to the National Retail Federations, the total expected expense on the 2019 Valentine’s Day is as high as $20.7 billion, so it’s only natural that companies will be pulling out all the stops for romantic promotions.

Bronx Zoo
The Bronx Zoo wants you to ditch flowers and chocolates this Valentin’s Day and name a roach.

Flowers will wilt, chocolate will get eaten–but cockroaches are forever.

Pauli’s, a small catering company and restaurant in Boston’s North End, is now taking pre-orders for it’s special Valentine’s Day burger: a $3,000 burger that comes with a 7/8 carat diamond engagement ring for your significant other.
It’s…very thoughtful of them, right? Is it romantic to you if your partner asked: “Will you marry me” while handing you the burger?
Big Mac Diamond

CBS Miami
McDonald’s was celebrating both Valentine’s Day and the 50th anniversary of its Big Mac in 2018 by giving away an 18K gold “Big Mac Ring.” No kidding, it is actually a Big Mac-shaped diamond ring you can wear on your fingers.
To get the ring, customers had to tweet their love of Big Macs to McDonald’s before February 14, 2018, with hashtags #BlingMacContest.
