Olivia Colman might be a new name to you, but she’s been in Hollywood for years. Colman is a British actress and is a big name across the pond. Her break out role was playing Sophia Chapman in Peep Show.
Colman’s resume is impressive and long. Her break out role in America was for Queen Anne in The Favourite. She won a Golden Globe and an Oscar for her work.
That wasn’t the first time Colman has portrayed British royalty in a movie or show. She played Queen Elizabeth in Hyde Park on Hudson and Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown on Netflix.

Ed Sinclair 2001-Present
Colman met her future husband Ed Sinclair while studying at Cambridge. They met because they were both in the Footlights Dramatic Club at Cambridge and starred in Alan Ayckbourn’s Table Manners play. At the time, Sinclair was a third-year law student who was thinking about becoming a writer and actor instead.
“It sounds really odd, but I did fall in love with him at first sight,” Colman told The Telegraph about meeting Sinclair for the first time. “When he walked into the room, I just went, ‘That’s him!’ Mind you, I suppose if he hadn’t wanted me, then I might have gone, ‘That’s him!’ at someone else a week later.”
They both left Cambridge and attended Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. In the end, Sinclair ended up becoming a writer while Colman pursued acting.
The married in 2001. Colman and Sinclair have three children together.
