Two teenagers have been arrest and charged for robbing a bank in Fall River, Massachusetts.
According to Fox19, a 14-year-old girl went into a BayCoast Bank in the afternoon on Wednesday, February 20. The authorities say she “slid a note demanding money of she would blow everything up and kill everybody.”
The teen was holding her hands tightly making it appear that she was concealing something, possibly a weapon. CBS Boston reports that the 14-year-old was wearing a Patriots sweater and black leggings.
The bank employee gave the teen an undisclosed amount of money. According to NBC 10, the police followed the teenager’s path through surveillance cameras. The teenager eventually got into a Toyota Camry that was driven by a 15-year-old girl.
“Detectives were also able to obtain a Massachusetts registration number for that Camry from a different camera, which took them to a Mulberry Street home,” police said
When the arrived at the home the Camry was spotted in the yard. Police knocked on the door but there was no answer so they forced their way in. While speaking to a resident a female was spotted wearing the same clothes as the robber.
They found the second suspect as well in the basement apartment but they didn’t find any weapons. Both girls were taken into custody and charged with armed robbery.
NBC 10’s sources say the girls are runaways. Their names have yet to be released because they’re minors.
