‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Couple Jade & Tanner Reveal They Suffered A Miscarriage

Bachelor In Paradise couple Jade and Tanner are finally opening up about suffering a miscarriage in 2015.

The couple met and fell in love during season 2 of Bachelor In Paradise. They ended up getting engaged and eventually married on January 24, 2016. The couple welcomed their first child, Emmy Tolbert, in August 2017. They recently announced they’re expecting a second child in August 2019.

Their road to parenthood wasn’t easy. In their YouTube video, the couple revealed that Jade suffered a miscarriage when she became pregnant while filming Bachelor In Paradise.

“Well, you always hear those stories about those couples that get pregnant the very first time they have sex. I never thought that would be me, but it was,” Tanner revealed in the video. “And add on top of that the fact that it happened on a TV show, in a fantasy suite made things a little complicated. But this is the story of what happened to Jade and I.”

The video is titled “Pregnant in Paradise.” Jade revealed that no one knew about her miscarriage except for Carly. She didn’t even tell her family about it.

Jade revealed on Caitlyn Bristow’s podcast Off The Vine that she got pregnant while on the show, but didn’t find out until after filming.

Tanner said that the pregnancy so early in their relationship brought them closer together and made them get serious about their relationship. Jade packed her bags and moved to Kansas City to be with Tanner full-time.

“Sadly we did lose the baby,” Jade said through tears. “Which at the time I didn’t really grieve because I just didn’t, I didn’t know really what to, how to process it. It was so much so fast. In a really bad way it was almost like a relief because we just like, we’re in such this whirlwind.”

Jade went on to say that until after she had her first child Emerson, she finally grieved the child she lost.
