Billboard Awards 2019: Performers, Nominees & Must-See Details

On May 1st, music’s biggest stars will gather at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. The ceremony, first aired in 1990, features today’s hottest musicians and chart-toppers, giving out awards such as Top 100 Song and Top Billboard 200 Album.

With the anticipation of the BBMAs right around the corner, we’ve got a full list of nominees, performers and everything else you need to know!

The Voice coach and singer Kelly Clarkson will return to host the show for the second year in a row, performing as well.Ā In a statement in February when Kelly was first announced as host, she explained why she wanted to come back again.

“I had so much fun hosting the ‘Billboard Music Awards’ last year that I’m back for more,” Kelly said. “We’re turning it up a notch this year, and I can’t wait to celebrate all of my fellow amazing artists for another unforgettable night of live music.”

Also scheduled to perform is Taylor Swift and Panic! at the Disco’s Brendon Urie, who will be opening the show with their newest single “ME!” The video for the song broke VEVO’s 24-hour record by a solo female artist and currently has 118 million views on YouTube. Brendon will also return later in the night to perform with Panic!

Halsey and K-pop group BTS will perform their smash hit “Boy With Luv,” which has also been breaking records on VEVO. Halsey will perform solo as well. Ariana Grande will also take the stage with a pre-recorded performance from her Sweetener World Tour stop at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

Jonas Brothers will also be performing, marking their first performance in over 10 years at an awards show. The brothers recently announced their new album “Happiness Begins” as well as a new North American tour.

Paula Abdul will close out the show with a 6-minute medley of her greatest hits as the show’s throwback moment. The Icon Award will be given to Mariah Carey, who is performing as well.

Take a look at the rest of the details for the 2019 Billboard Music Awards including the full list of performers, nominees, and presenters.
