LISTEN: Justin Bieber & Ed Sheeran, ‘I Don’t Care’: New Track

After two weeks of fans anxiously, waiting for longtime friends Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran to release their newest single “I Don’t Care” is finally here.

Fans had speculation of Bieber and Sheeran collaborating since last month from the artists sharing cryptic messages and posts on Instagram.

Bieber had tweeted “big fan” to Sheeran on April 25, and both singers began sharing photos to social media with the number “10” as their captions along with Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, and Sheeran’s manager, Stuart Camp.

Additionally, Sheeran and Bieber posted a poll to their Instagram Stories asking their followers, “Do you want new music”? The options were “Yes,” “No,” and “Idc” (I don’t care)

The two shared the news revealing the single would be called “I Don’t Care” on their social media accounts. Bieber posted to Instagram saying he has a new song on the way with “this guy” and posted photos of them.

Sheeran joined in on the news and shared handwritten lyrics, while posting on his Instagram Story saying, “a new song coming out on Friday.’’

This isn’t the first time Bieber and Sheeran have collaborated. In fact, they previously worked on “Love Yourself,” Sheeran co-wrote with Benny Blanco and Bieber. The two also appeared on Lil Dicky’s “Earth.”

Although Bieber hasn’t released an album since Purpose released in 2015, he joined Ariana Grande onstage at Coachella to perform his hit single “Sorry.”

A friend of Bieber’s told PEOPLE, “He hasn’t performed in a long time. He was very excited and felt even better after.  He loved reconnecting with his fans.”

Sheeran’s latest album, Divide was released in 2017.
