20-year-old Jake Askew from Norwich decided to set up a fake Tinder profile using a picture of him transformed into a girl using the new Snaptchat filter.
Askew had used the social media platform’s new gender-swapping filter and decided to set up a fake dating account under the pseudonym “Jess” to see how she would do.
To his surprise, his new profile soon had thousands of likes and hundreds of matches, joking on Twitter that Jess was “the most popular girl in Derby within the hour.” He also got a taste of what single females had to put up with on the popular dating app, receiving some very suggestive messages.

After posting screenshots of the likes and matches online, it was clear to Askew that his alter ego had quickly picked up a fanbase. He added along with a screenshot of all the men that had swiped right on “Jess,” “1510 wanting a bit of me with a filter on, stunned and honoured.”
He continued sharing a few messages he received, with one reading, “Hi, you alright? I hope you don’t mind me making a little comment but you look absolutely beautiful.” Askew admitted soon some men were “randy ba****ds.”
The Twitter thread currently has a combined total of 14,000 likes and retweets from amused followers. One wrote, “LMAO men are dogs,” while another tweeted, “How could they not tell that was the Snaptchat filter?”

Other people were asking for tips to help with their own profiles, asking “Please teach me your ways my Tinder is dry AF.” One woman added, “1600 matches as a trap and I can’t even get one as glorious me.” Some women were even commenting that it was time men got a taste of their own medicine. “Now he knows what it’s like to be harassed for nudes by strangers.”
