Lena Headey Boyfriends 2022: Who is Lena Headey Dating Now?

English Actress Lena Headey is best known for her chilling portrayal of the most ruthless queen in television history —  Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones. She has been nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards and one Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a drama series in 2017. TV Critics have consistently argued that she deserves more critical acclaim for her work, and many fans have similarly praised her for carrying the show this past decade. Her realistic portrayal of television’s most hated villain has subjected the actress to widespread hyperreality condemnation from fans. In an interview in 2013, she accounted that fans actively refuse to take her autographs and routinely insult her for playing Cersei.

For her work in the final season that aired this April, Lena Headey earned the estimated US $1.2 million per episode, and a whopping total of $3.6 million for 25 minutes of screen time, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In 2018, she was listed as the seventh highest paid American TV star on a network prime time show.

Before landing her role in Game of Thrones, Lena acted in critically acclaimed and commercially successful films such as The Remains of the Day, The Jungle Book, 300, and has also played the role of Sarah Connor in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles television series — which she has in common with Game of Thrones co-star, Emilia Clarke. Outside entertainment, Lena is a human rights advocate and has been involved with a humanitarian organization, International Rescue Committee (IRC). She has also candidly spoken about rejecting disgraced Hollywood mogul, Harvey Weinstein in 2005 that hurt her career.

While Lena Headey is increasingly outspoken about her political views on Instagram, she has been private about her relationships. To resolve the ongoing scrutiny and confusion about her significant others, here’s a brief list of her love life.

Spoilers: Nikolaj Costar-Waldau aka Jamie Lannister is happily married elsewhere, and doesn’t make it to this list. Thank the Seven Gods for preventing the non-fictional sight of incestuous shades of romance.

Jason Flemyng 1994-2003

Lena Headey dated English actor, Jason Flemyng, who appeared in prominent Hollywood films such as The League of Extraordinary Women (2000), The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) and X-Men First Class (2011). The two met on the set of The Jungle Book in 1994, and also appeared in a short film called Love in 1997. They were together for nine years before splitting up in 2003.

Peter Loughran 2007-2011

Lena Headey married musician Peter Loughran in 2007 and gave birth to their son, Wylie Loughran on March 31, 2010. Advocating for mental health, Lena has vocalized her experience with postpartum depression following her son’s birth. The couple separated in 2011, and Lena filed for divorce in 2012, citing “irreconcilable differences,” and requesting joint legal and physical custody of their son. Their divorce was finalized in 2013.

Jerome Flynn 2013-2014

Jerome Flynn is an English Actor who plays the infamous Bronn of Blackwater Bay — the sassy knight who really badly wants a castle. Lena had possibly known Flynn since 1993 when she starred in Season 3, Episode 3 of ITV Soldier Soldier, — a series where Flynn was a regular cast member. The two dated in 2013, almost 20 years after their first (and only) on-screen appearance. The world can be really small sometimes, you know?

However, their relationship reportedly went down in ashes in March 2014. According to members of the crew, the actors were not “in speaking terms.” As a result of their explosive split, the actors never appeared on screen together, even in Season 8, as Qyburn, “hand of the Queen,” delivers Cersei’s “go kill my brothers” requests to Bronn, ending the show without any direct communication between the two characters. So watch out — non-fictional bad breakups can also as tribal as ones in George R.R. Martin’s minds.

Pedro Pascal 2014-2016

This is where her real-life romance gets almost as complicated as Cersei’s unpredictable political rhetorics in Westeros. In 2014, Lena was rumored to have been dating Chilean actor, Pedro Pascal who played the unrelentingly charming Prince of Dorne, Oberyn Martell, in Game of Thrones seasons 3 and 4. The stars were seen together in LA, goofing around in what the paps interpreted to signify a romantic stroll. A noticeable baby bump under Lena’s sweaters led fans to conclude that the two have been an item for some time. Pascal opened up about their relationship in a Reddit Thread in 2014 but failed to dispel the widespread rumors by gushing about his admiration of Lena. In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel, Lena spoke about the birth of her second child, steering clear of the slightest revelations of the father’s name, while fans were convinced Pascal and Lena were co-parenting their newborn daughter, Teddy. In June 2016, Lena Headey posted another photo of the two, captioned, “Kids are back together again,” which unsurprisingly fueled speculations once again.

Dan Cadan 2017-Present

Alas, in July 2017, a New York Times profile revealed that she is engaged to English director Dan Cadan, with whom she had her second child Teddy. The two had been childhood friends from Yorkshire, England, and in 2009, Lena appeared in his short film The Devil’s Wedding. In the same interview, Lena mentioned that she started dating Cadan “a few years ago” after her divorce from Peter Loughran, suggesting her relationship with Pedro Pascal might have only just been rumors. Undeniably, it would’ve been fun to witness the irony of Oberyn and Cersei ending up together in the non-mythical world, but it appears that the two only share a close friendship.

Lena spoke about her hesitance to commit to a second marriage in the NYT interview but explained that she was pleasantly surprised when Dan proposed to her. “I always said to him “Don’t ever ask me to marry you” it’s a disaster, but it actually feels really wonderful,” she told the publication. Lena married Cadan in 2018 and is happily off the relationship roller-coaster ride.

The married couple first appeared in public together for the premiere of Dan’s comedy film, “Walk Like a Panther,” and was expected to appear together on the Game of Thrones Season 8 Premiere in April 2019, but Lena fell sick and couldn’t make it to New York City. Hoping she gets an Emmy nomination for her phenomenal performance this season, we might finally get a sneak peek at Lena’s off-screen, peaceful (and thankfully incest lacking) romance with her husband in Microsoft Theatre come September.
