It’s been a year since the melody of Cuban-American sensation, Camila Cabello’s single featuring Young Thug, “Havana” found its way to every corner of the radio, coffee shops, and clubs. Her self-titled debut album, Camila, topped the Billboard 200 Chart in January 2018, β which made her the first woman in three years to reach No. 1 with a debut full-length album.

Cabello rose to prominence in 2012 as a member of the girl band, Fifth Harmony on The X Factor, signing a joint record deal with Eco and Syco Records.

In December 2016, she posted an extensive statement on Twitter announcing her split from the group, detailing her shtick with the group when she decided to pursue a solo career, and the four other members didn’t particularly entertain the idea.

Three years since, Camila’s solo career has been a journey upwards. In 2018, she released the song “Never Be the Same” which received 9.1 million views to date, reached the top 10 in several countries and positive reviews from music critics who appreciated her drum hook.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for another album, and it looks like Camila is enjoying the anticipation, teasing a new album with a coy, metaphorical tweet.
Itβs the calm before the storm πͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺ love you guys

And of course, this sent a chain of massive reactions from fans, one of them posting a pseudo-script from the singerβs stories of her dancing.
she's rehearsing for something OMG she wasn't lying when she said a storm is coming https://t.co/ZTgzHVmbkO

Camila teases even further, frivolously responding to a fan who wrote, “weather forecast is clear and sunny for the next month or so,” by asking, “Is it??? not in my calendar?”

Fans have been on a roll with racing to conclusions, β one fan stated, “YOURE RELEASING MUSIC NEXT MONTH???”

Contrastingly, some other patiently welcoming fans have been tweeting, “we’re here waiting for you, take all the time you need,” and Camila warm-heartedly replied, “You are….. precious.” So while we don’t know when it’s coming, the cryptic twitter antics leave us with no reason to doubt that a new album might indeed drop soon.
