When you hear about your fav celebrity couples, like Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds or Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, it’s hard to believe Deadpool was married to Black Widow or that the reality star eloped a music producer years before Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Check out the list below to see which couples you never knew tied the knot.
1) Bradley Cooper & Jennifer Esposito
The A Star Was Born actor and Crash actress briefly married in 2006 before calling it quits only 4 months later. Via Us Weekly in 2011, Bradley told Howard Stern that “it was just something that happened. The good thing is, we both realized it…Sometimes you just realize it.”
2) Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush
The former One Tree Hill costars tied the knot in 2005 only to announce their separation just four months later. When speaking to Andy Cohen during the June 13, 2018 episode of Radio Andy, Sophia admitted she felt pressure to marry Chad. “How old was it? I don’t even know. It was like the second season,” Sophia said. “But everyone’s been 22 and stupid, you know?”
3) Will Smith & Sheree Zampino
Before marrying current wife Jada Pinkett Smith, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum was married to actress and fashionista Sheree Zampino from 1992 to 1995, sharing son Trey, 26. Jada, who shares 20-year-old Jaden and 18-year-old Willow with Will, now has a friendship with Sheree and she was even the first guest on Jada’s Facebook Watch talk show Red Table Talk. “I thought it was important to have that conversation because she was my entry point to motherhood,” Jada told PEOPLE. “I was co-mothering with her. At that particular time, before [having a blended family] was popular, before it was even an idea, we were trying to create something that we had never experienced.”
4) Angelina Jolie & Billy Bob Thornton
Years before the famous Brangelina relationship, Angelina Jolie was married Monster’s Ball actor Billy Bob Thornton from 2000 to 2002. During an episode of HFPA in Conversation in 2018, Billy Bob got candid about his highly-publicized marriage to Angelina saying, “I look at that time as a great time. Angie is still a friend of mine, and she’s a great person, and she’s done so much.” The actor also spoke about the coverage of the relationship, admitting “a lot of the things they said about us at the time were exaggerated. It wasn’t as crazy as people wrote it.”
5) Katy Perry & Russell Brand
The pop star and British actor got married in a lavish Indian wedding in 2010, only to separate 14 months later. In a February 2019 interview with Paper magazine, Katy opened up about her marriage to Russell saying, “I’m very pragmatic and logistical, and I am less fantastical about things. I mean, I was married when I was 25. I’m 34. It was almost 10 years ago.” She continued, “I was like, ‘One person for the rest of my life,’ and I’m not so sure that that idea is for me. I’m just such a different person than I was.”
6) Wiz Khalifa & Amber Rose

She cited irreconcilable differences in their divorce papers, but the two still remain close friends. “It’s so crazy that we are literally the best of friends. We hang out all the time,” Amber admitted.
7) Ryan Reynolds & Scarlett Johansson
The two Marvel actors began dating in 2007 and tied the knot in 2008 before they eventually split in 2010. Their relationship was private and secretive, which is why there’s barely any photographic evidence on them. Sources told InTouch that the two were a case of opposites attract. “He’s more traditional, and she’s more independent,” an insider told the Daily Mail. “They’re both strong-willed and stubborn people. There was a lack of warmth between them, that was troubling…He said it sounded like she was yelling at him every time she talked to him.” Ryan is now famously married to Blake Lively, with whom he shares two daughters, with a third baby on the way, and Scarlett recently got engaged to SNL writer Colin Jost.
8) Jim Carrey & Lauren Holly

First of all, I was incredibly sad, and I felt like everybody knew. I felt like they felt sorry for me or something, you know?”
9) Audrina Patridge & Corey Bohan
The Hills star and professional BMX biker tied the knot in a Hawaii wedding in November 2016, after welcoming daughter Kirra. But after less than a year of marriage, Audrina filed for a divorce and a temporary restraining order from Corey, citing an alleged violent outburst in the court documents.
10) Kaley Cuoco & Ryan Sweeting
The Big Bang Theory star married the tennis pro in 2013 after only three months of dating. The marriage lasted 21 months and did not seem like it ended on the best of terms. And that wasn’t my fault – that was his.”
11) Kate Winslet & Sam Mendes
The actress and director got married in 2003 but divorced after making the film Revolutionary Road together in 2010. The two share son, Joe, together. Kate opened up about her marriages in 2015, saying, “I know lots of people who are not in the public eye who have gone through several marriages, I really do, and it’s just those are the cards that life dealt me. I didn’t plan on it being that way. And f–k me, it hasn’t been easy, you know.”
