Emmy Awards 2019 Nominations: Full List of Nominees

On Sunday, September 22, the 71st annual Emmy Awards will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and will air on FOX. The ceremony honors the best of television and nominations for the 2019 show have been announced. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences choose the nominees.

Nominations were announced by Ken Jeong and D’Arcy Carden at the Academy’s Wolf Theatre in North Hollywood on Tuesday, July 16. They were joined by Academy Chairman-CEO Frank Scherma and President-COO Maury McIntyre.

Game of Thrones leads with 32 nominations, setting the record for the most Primetime Emmy noms for a show in a single year. HBO earned 137 nominations overall, beating out its own record for most noms for a network in a single year. Netflix earned 117 Emmy nominations, NBC with 58, followed by Amazon with 47 nominations.

Besides Game of Thrones, other shows scored multiple Emmy nominations including Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel with 20, HBO’s Chernobyl with 19, Saturday Night Live with 18, HBO’s Barry and FX’s Fosse/Verdon with 17 each, and Netflix’s When They See Us with 16.
