Kelly Clarkson suffered from a painful health issue during live filming of The Voice. The songstress had a “giant” ovarian cyst burst mid-conversation with country star Blake Shelton on set. During an interview with People, she revealed,
“Blake [Shelton] was talking to me and all of the sudden, everything he said just went away and I had to grab his arm and I was like, ‘Something is wrong.’”

Just a week before the incident, the singer had another health concern when her appendix burst on stage at The Billboard Music Awards back in May of 2019. Clarkson hosted the ceremony all smiles and hit every note despite being in excruciating pain. “I just didn’t want to leave people hanging,” she explained.

The 37-year-old underwent emergency surgery right after the event and managed to heal rather quickly before going back to work a week later for The Voice. Unfortunately, just as the cameras started rolling, abdominal pain struck again as the cyst on her ovary burst at that very moment. “That was more painful than the appendicitis.” The star admits to feeling fear during the taping of the show, “It was literally a week after my surgery so I was freaking out!”
