Supergirl star Melissa Benoist seems to have found the love of her life again. The actress, who was introduced to theater at a very young age, is better known for having roles in successful shows such as Glee (2009) and Supergirl (2015).
Her love life has been somewhat predictable and not riddled with rumors in comparison to other celebrities she has worked on set.
Chris Wood (2017 – present)
Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood are co-stars in the show Supergirl. The two got very close short after Wood joined the cast to play Benoist’s character’s love interest, Mon-El.
Before making their relationship public, the couple was seen cuddling up on a beach in Mexico.
According to Showbiz Cheatsheet, the couple is working on a mental health awareness campaign, a cause that hits home for Wood because he lost his father due to a mental illness.
Last February, Benoist shared an Instagram photo of Wood kissing her cheek and showing a very big engagement ring on her finger. The photo’s caption read “yes yes yes it will always be yes.” The couple got married on September 3rd.
Blake Jenner (2013-2016)
Benoist dated and married another co-star before marrying Wood. They met on the set of Glee after Jenner joined in on the fourth season.
Benoist and Jenner began dating in 2013. They married in 2015 but divorced in 2016. Benoist filed for divorce in December 2016 citing irreconcilable difference as the cause, according to Showbiz Cheatsheet. Three months later she started dating her now-husband, Chris Wood.
