Singer and actress Miley Cyrus makes it clear that she is no longer the child that the world perceives her to be. She is a grown-up and is capable of making her own decisions, so despite her long adored relationship with Liam Hemsworth, Cyrus is single now. She is allowed to date other people at whatever pace she feels is right. She explains this in a series of Tweets:

“I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru from the beginning,” Cyrus said. “I think that’s why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how I live it because they’ve watched me grow up.”
She emphasizes that she’s no longer a child.
“I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality. People only ‘know’ what they see on the internet,” she said.
She highlighted the double standards today, pointing out that men are considered “legends” when they move on fast after a relationship, but women are spoken about negatively
“They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence. … I am trying to just THRIVE/survive in a ‘mans’ world. If we can’t beat em, join em!”
These tweets may be a response to the current rumors about her being with Cody Simpson much “too fast” after splitting with Hemsworth.
The pair got together for a movie night on Sunday to watch Blue Hawaii and sang along to Elvis Presley’s “Ku-U-I-Po.”Simpson captioned the video using one of the lyrics, “more today than yesterday,” and posted it on his Instagram Story. Cyrus leans her head on his shoulder and they both smile at the camera.
She even commented on his latest Instagram post calling him the “cutest.”
Hemsworth has not commented on the couple’s relationship, but when he and Cyrus initially split, he wrote her a heartfelt message on Instagram wishing her well:
It’s sad that Cyrus and Hemsworth aren’t together anymore, but they both seem to be happy as they move on in different directions.
