How to Import an EML File to Outlook

For Automatic Conversion

  1. Install the Outlook Conversion software

The first step is downloading and running the program. It goes as follows:

  1. Download the Import EML to Outlook program to your computer
  2. Run the installed program and agree to the terms and conditions
  3. When the program is fully installed, select the version and pin it to the taskbar.

  1. Select the Source You Want the EML Files Imported

Prepare and specify your source EML files and folders where the email files are stored. This can either be EML files on your disk, the Outlook folder for imported messages, or network share. Select the PST radio button and browse the location to save exported files, then click on the export button. For instance, to Import EML to Outlook Using Windows Live Mail, these are the steps:

  1. Open the Outlook and Windows Live Mail software, click the file tab, and then the export email part. Import exported files into Outlook and select MS Exchange as your export option, click next.
  2. Click the OK button when you see “This will export messages from Windows Live Mail to Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange” displayed. Select the right folders you need to export.
  3. On clicking OK, the Export Complete wizard will appear, and lastly the Finish button.
