How To Make Mulled Wine Because It Is So Easy And Cheap

Mulled wine is the sangria of winter and we know, that is a beautiful thing. Instead of treating it like it some special magical elixir (though it is) and spending $9 on a mug of it, just make a big ass pot on your own. Here’s a tiny little secret: it’s just hot wine with fruit and cinnamon. BOOM. I just blew your head off of your body and then swatted it with a baseball bat. Home run!
The beautiful news is that wine is as cheap as $3 now and when you heat it up and put mad shit in it, you can barely taste how cheap it is.
Here is what you will need.
Red Wine. (Preferably Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Malbec)
A big pot.
1 Orange.
Honey, sugar or stevia
Cinnamon sticks or cinnamon.
Cloves.
Optional add-ons: lemon, apple, nutmeg and brandy.
Directions
Step 1. Pour entire bottle of red wine into pot. Put on low to medium heat.
Step 2. Slice oranges (lemons and apples) leaving the peels on for zesty flavor. Add to pot.
Step 3. Add a teaspoon of cinnamon or 3 cinamon sticks.
Step 4. Add 10 cloves (and a sprinkle of nutmeg).
Step 5. Add 1/3 cup honey or sugar OR 1/4 cup stevia.
Leave on heat for 20-25 minutes or until wine begins to steam. Avoid boiling. Then BOOM, you’ve got mulled wine.
Optional step: Some recipes call for brandy but who drinks brandy? Who can afford brandy? It isn’t necessary for it to taste good and is only in some recipes, so I’d say go with your heart or how drunk you want to get.
