The 2014 annual No Pants Subway Ride was this weekend and this year 60 countries from all over the world participated in one of the weirdest rituals society has created yet. The event is hosted by Improv Everywhere, you know the guys behind all those cool Grand Central Station and musical flash mobs. It started out a few years ago, in 2002, with just 7 participants but has since evolved into a global phenomenon where people ride the subway or tube or metro (or whatever it’s referred to as) in their undies. Why? Just because. People’s reactions who have never heard of this are mostly confused, aroused or mortified. It’s awesome.
