Obviously we all love Beyonce and peed our pants when she released her latest album with all those tracks and all those videos…poof…out of the blue. It was a magical moment that will likely find us asking one another, years from now, “Where were you the day Beyonce was released?” For those wondering, I was in bed with a glass of red wine and my laptop watching Scandal. I feel Bey would approve.
And as we head-bopped and lip synced our way through the album and it’s flawless videos, deep down we knew someone has the ugly task of figuring out which of these flawless hits would be Beyonce‘s first single. It came as no surprise when Columbia Records opted to simultaneously release two “first” singles — Drunk in Love and XO. Ain’t no one picking just one Yonce.
Now, it’s been announced that the third radio release from the album will be Partition (my personal fave, for the record). In order to get you pumped to hear this song played on every hip-hop and pop station from now until summer, let’s take a walk down memory lane by watching the vlog wherein Bey talks about how she FREESTYLED THE ENTIRE OPENING VERSE and then refused to play to song for her mom because she thought Miss Tina Knowles would. not. approve.
