There are lots of things I wish I could have told my high school self. Like don’t worry about all that homework, it means nothing. Or don’t shave off half of your eyebrow. Or seriously, don’t go through that ’emo’ phase, you look terrible. But one topic that definitely makes me want to invest in developing a time machine is sex.
There are so many things I wish someone would have told me about sex in high school. Some things that sex education couldn’t have taught me, like self-esteem and understanding guys, and some things that school really should have covered.
Luckily, I turned out okay. I didn’t make any major, life-changing mistakes. I didn’t come out of high school with a baby or an STD, and I can look back on my sexual past and not feel any intense regret and self-loathing.
