Why This Should Be in Your Bag:
Too Faced La Crème Lipsticks are one of my absolute favorite formulations. They’re filled with “super moisturizers including white lotus flower and power peptides” and are just a joy to wear. Their Spring 2014 line sees the release of 5 new shades: Taffy, Bon Bon, Pink Chocolate, Jelly Bean and Lollipop. At first sight, these colors are gorgeous and SO springy; ranging from baby pink to bright violet to a killer raspberry, you are bound to find one to transition your look from Winter.
How To Use It:
Too Faced recommends using a matching Perfect Lip Liner before applying La Crème Lipstick, but I actually prefer to wear the light shades alone. Darker shades like Lollipop and Jelly Bean certainly benefit from a lip liner to reduce feathering, but lighter shades like Taffy and Bon Bon look beautiful on their own. Just swipe straight from the tube and you’re done!

We already knew this formula was a favorite of mine, but I didn’t expect this shade extension to give me 2 of my go-tos! Taffy is the perfect nude for my pale skin and has enough pink to keep me from looking like a corpse, while Jelly Bean is unbelievable and just brightens my whole complexion. It’s a compliment magnet! I also love the bright tang of Bon Bon, but found Lollipop to be too sparkly and Pink Chocolate to be too brown for myself.
However, all 5 are the same great La Crème formula and apply and wear great. Darker shades last for about 4 hours, while lighter last 2-3, as expected for a high-gloss lippie.
I really can’t say anything bad about the Too Faced La Crème Lipsticks or the 5 new shades! They’re worth every penny of the $22 USD/$26 CAD price tag and available directly from Too Faced or at Sephora.
