Spotify Is Now Only $5 For College Students

Spotify has cut its price in half for college students. Instead of 10 bucks a month, like I pay, college students can get the streaming music service for 5 buckaroos. I think this is great. There is nothing more disruptive than hearing an advertisement while you were in the middle of getting your groove on. You’re about to get low and then bam, “Never hear ads again with Spotify premium!” Advertisements are a necessary evil  for a free service like Spotify but paying the $10 or $5 a month was life changing for me. I’ve got a lowly 8 gig iPhone 4 so that means no space and I take a lot of photos but more than anything I have a TON of music and I need it all, everyday. It’s what gets me through public transportation.
According to HuffPo, “The $5 monthly service announced Tuesday applies to students of post-secondary institutions eligible for federal aid programs, including two-year colleges and vocational schools. The price reverts to normal after graduation.”
Music helps me maintain my inner peace when some douche on the subway is yelling at some other douche about how they bumped into each other in a crowded train cart. The trouble was before Spotify I couldn’t put all of my music on my phone because it ate too much space. Spotify takes up way, way less space and because you  cansave albums and playlists offline I can fill up my bb iPhone with all of my jams and don’t need to use bandwidth or have internet access. If this sounds like an advertisement it’s not, I really love Spotify this much and believe is a service worth paying for if you listen to music as often as I do.
Don’t let ads fuck with your groove.
