Straight from the Source: 13 Ways to Become More Successful than P. Diddy One Day

I graduated from Howard University this weekend, and I’m still floating on a cloud. Technically, I finished up my undergrad studies in December, but commencement makes it “official.” I was hesitant about coming back for the sole purpose of walking – This isn’t even my class! I thought. What’s the point? I’m so glad that I changed my mind. From walking out on The Yard with my fellow Howardites one last time to the Nae Nae that some of my classmates hit at the end of the ceremony (Yes. That really did happen.), it was an experience that I’ll cherish forever – just like my time on campus.
Sean Combs AKA Puff Daddy AKA P. Diddy AKA Dr. Combs delivered the Commencement address after receiving an honorary doctorate in humanities. Diddy actually went to Howard for two years in the eighties but never finished. Before Saturday, there was some negative feedback regarding his right to speak at commencement. I know that those naysayers are eating their words this morning. Diddy’s charge to the graduates was motivational and relatable – not just for Howard students, but for students everywhere.
Love him or hate him, but Diddy’s success – my bad, Dr. Combs’ success – is undeniable. Any advice that he can provide on his ascent to greatness is something that I’ll adhere to. Hopefully you guys will find it helpful, too. Now take that.
