OMG! BITE Beauty's Deconstructed Rose Lipsticks [In Our Makeup Bag]

What It Is:
Bite Beauty Deconstructed Rose Lipsticks in Centifolia, Crimson, Damask and Grandfolia*
Why This Should Be in Your Bag:
Bite Beauty sets the standard for lip products, as far as I’m concerned. Their lipstick is the absolute best AND food-grade ingredients means you don’t have to feel guilty about that awful stat about women eating so much lipstick per year.
The Deconstructed Rose “shades were each inspired by the ever-changing color of a rose, and are infused with the potent anti-aging power of rose otto, a distilled essential oil.” What a fantastic idea! I couldn’t wait to try out these floral-inspired shades.

How To Use It:
Either apply straight from the tube or with a lipbrush if you prefer! Ta-da!

CC Rating: A-

Bite Beauty’s newest line is so creative! I love how a brand that makes solely lip products always matters to keep it fresh. The Deconstructed Rose Lipsticks are the same fabulous quality as their Luminous Creme line, but with the added benefits of rose. I was hard-pressed to find a shade match in my rather large Bite lipstick collection, so it’s nice to know that they’re not simply repackaging current shades with some rosewater added. And while we’re on the topics of shades, talk about gorgeous! I love ALL 4 of these and have been wearing them loads. There’s a nice mix of bolder and more subdued shades, so I think most people can find a lipstick they would wear regularly.
The texture of these lippies was also slightly creamy and had more slip than the Luminous Cremes. As a result they’re shinier too, which I love, AND the lipsticks stain a lot more than Bite’s regular line (perhaps to make up for the added shine which tends to reduce weartime).
The scent of rose is strong in the tube, but I find disappears almost immediately upon application. The taste, however, does not. I purposely licked my lips while wearing Crimson and could taste rosewater hours later. I’m rather neutral when it comes to the scent and taste of rose, so this didn’t bother me, but for people who detest rose, this may be a sticking point.
The lovely, new Deconstructed Rose Lipsticks from Bite Beauty are available exclusively at Sephora for $28 each!
