MUFE’s waterproof ‘Aqua’ line is my go-to for when I need makeup to stay in place despite hot temperatures. I was so excited to see that they’ve added eyeshadows pencils, Aqua Matics, to this range! They promise ‘highly-pigmented, waterproof, smudge-free shadow [that] delivers immediate, intense color payoff.’ Sounds perfect for daytime pool parties and steamy summer nights!
How To Use It:
MUFE recommend applying Aqua Matic directly on the skin and then blending with a brush or fingertip. The tip allows for precision application and I found no problem using these as eyeliners if I wanted to. They dry down extremely quickly, so I recommend blending with your finger and working fast!

A lot of brands make waterproof promises, but MUFE actually delivers! Just like others in this range, Aqua Matics stay PUT. I wanted to test these really well and so I had a sauna wearing D-12 and guess what? It didn’t smudge a bit! Despite the amazing staying power, I didn’t have to scrub my eyelid off to remove it either – just a gentle swipe with waterproof makeup remover. The sharpener included in the base of these is such a bonus! I hate having to use my makeup sharpener for too many products, so it’s nice that these come with their own. Perfect for on-the-go too!
Both of these shades are extremely complex. ME-50 is a rare cool gold, but also seems to have some blue shimmer in it. D-12 is diamond finish, so it’s quite sparkly and just a stunning shade of pewter. I actually love these 2 as eyeliners – the dimension just makes eyes pop!
I would be more than happy to fork over $21 USD/$25 CAD for a few more shades! The Make Up For Ever Aqua Matics are totally worthwhile for all sun-worshippers and beach bunnies!
