Are You Using Your Contouring Highlighter Correctly? Let This Pro 'Light' Your Way

Let’s rewind to, like, four years ago when I realized my epic dark circles had started begging for some concealer.
I went to my local department store and asked the salesgirl to help. And what did she do? She whipped out a slim gold pen and started going to work on my face – and even though she gushed about how great the product was, I could still see my purple-ish circles poking through defiantly. It was clear to me at the time that either the product was no good or my dark circles were just too dark to ever truly go away.
Luckily, neither of those things was true. My circles respond quite well to a nice stick concealer these days and the product she used on me actually was very good – it just wasn’t a concealer.
Years of writing about beauty have clued me in to one thing: That the proper use for a highlighter is vastly misunderstood. I mean, even now that I know what the purpose of a highlighter is, (it’s meant to bring light the shadowed parts of your face) I haven’t yet mastered application. I’m willing to bet some of you haven’t either.
I was lucky enough to stumble upon this video, which makes it totally simple and DIY-able, and I’m kind enough to share it with you lovely ladies. Let this pro help you figure out the best highlighter tricks ev-ar.
