Beyoncé, with Nicki Minaj, surprised fans again by dropping the remix to Flawless last night on her website. Nicki Minaj also shared the clip on social media. Nicki, who wraps in the remix, declares herself the “queen of rap slaying with Queen Bey.” But that’s not what got people talking. Beyoncé addresses the infamous elevator incident between her sister Solange and husband Jay-z. “Of course sometimes sh*t go down when it’s a billion dollars on the elevator,” she sings of the incident.
To refresh your memory, in May Solange Knowles attacked Jay-z on an elevator and a few days after the brawl the family released this statement:
Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family. The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.
So yeah, Bey, we get you. Of course sh*t goes down when it’s a billion dollars on the elevator. You can listen to the whole song here, on the official Beyoncé website or listen below!
