In Our Makeup Bag: Drybar 'Full Pint' Brush

What It Is:
Drybar ‘Full Pint’ Medium Round Brush*
Why This Should Be in Your Bag:
Even if you blowdry your hair infrequently, you still need the proper tools to get the job done! And for those of you who are daily blowdryers, I know you appreciate quality tools that help reduce both the time involved and the resulting frizz.
Drybar is a chain of salons that do one thing and do it damn well: blowouts. And, they’ve released a line of styling tools and products to help us regular folk achieve similar results! Their ‘Full Pint’ Brush “heats up from the blow dryer, dramatically helping to straighten or create big, loose curls” and the “perforated barrel allows air flow, thereby decreasing overall drying time.” Sounds like a win-win to me!

How To Use It:
Drybar doesn’t actually include any tips or instructions on how to use the brush, but if you know how to blowdry, it’s fairly simple.

CC Rating: A-

I’m not a frequent blowdryer, but I will say that I enjoyed using the Drybar ‘Full Pint’ Medium Round Brush! My usual tactics are to blowdry my hair upside down and then tame it with a straightener – this brush has really changed that for me. Now, I blowdry with the Drybar Brush (which cuts my drying time down significantly!) and then quickly run a straightener through my hair. My hair looks a lot healthier when I use this method and it definitely helps to speed things up.
That being said, I’m not sure the $40 price tag is warranted. I haven’t compared the Drybar ‘Full Pint’ Brush to a drugstore alternative, but I wonder if there’s much of a different. If you have the cash to spare and are a regular blowdryer, I imagine you’ll enjoy this brush as much as I did! It’s available for $40 USD from Sephora.com or the Drybar website!
