I’ve never been to Los Angeles, but I know from jokes, tales, and SNL’s The Californians sketch that finding a parking spot is not as easy as it sounds. But if you’re a Kardashian, parking in Hollywood just got even harder. “No Kardashian Parking Anytime” signs sprang up outside the girls’ Dash Boutique as well as on Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard.
No, the cops weren’t mad at Kim K’s paparazzi posse. It wasn’t even a prankster. The signs are the work of a street artist named Plastic Jesus.
Plastic Jesus said, “The Kardashian family has become ingrained in our culture. We’ve allowed mainstream media to become so profit-driven, we are sacrificing genuine news stories to satiate our vapid celebrity obsessions. Without us, there would be no market for the Kardashians. We are equally, if not more so, to blame.”
Um…guilty. As proven by this article about the Kardashian Klan. And this one from yesterday about the Jenner sisters. And this one about Bruce Jenner from earlier this week. But aren’t you too at blame, Plastic Jesus? Even by promoting against the Kardashians, you’re bringing them attention. Just can’t win.
Even without the moral message, these signs are pretty funny and I want one for my room. Think the girls will care, or just double park their Rolls Royces right in front of the notice?
