Sorry, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, but Britney Spears is getting her own iPhone app and we are going to have to delete you to make room. Kim’s game has been wildly successful (making around $100 million in revenue), and the company behind it, Glu Mobile, are ready to rake in some more money from a celeb-backed game. But this time, the princess of pop is front and center.
Digital News reports that Glu Mobile is all about their “celebrity gaming platform” (they’re also working on a Katy Perry game), and they have confirmed that they’ve partnered with the one and only Britney Spears. Set to launch next year, the game will feature Britney’s voice and likeness and allow users to “interact with Spears and experience the glitz and glamour of the entertainment business.” Glu chairman and CEO Niccolo de Masi said, “We anticipate the title resonating tremendously with Ms Spears’s nearly 90 million multi-generational social followers around the world.”
