Don’t we just love when a celeb we admire connects with fans on social media? Whether it’s a Reddit AMA or just retweeting a message, it’s cool to interact with the Hollywood elite. But for some people, these events are the perfect opportunity to voice why they don’t love a celeb.
E.L. James held a Twitter Q&A on Monday and solicited questions from fans all over the world who wanted to know things like what kind of music inspires her, which scenes in the Fifty Shades of Grey series were the hardest to write, and more details about Grey, her latest novel from Christian Grey’s perspective. But not everyone was a Fifty Shades fan. Some haters turned on the author, asking questions that called her out for alleged homophobia and glorification of abuse in her books.
These are probably not the questions James had in mind when she wanted to do this…
Are you as homophobic in real life as your books are? Asking for a friend. #AskELJames

My boss said no when I asked if I could kiss him and then I did anyway because no means yes right? Things at work are awkward. #AskELJames

#AskELJames Do you think Christian Grey's troubled childhood justifies the barely consensual abuse he inflicts on all his lovers?
