Keith Wilson has been dancing since he was a kid and now runs his own dance company, but he has one more dream – to make the all-female Miami Heat dance team. After he tried out in 2012 and failed to make the squad, Keith decided to give it another shot…and stole the show.
Check out Wilson during the first round of auditions – the freestyle portion – where he destroys the competition to Beyoncé’s “Run the World (Girls).”

Um…he IS Beyoncé! Those other girls are barely worthy to be dancing behind him. This is essentially what all of us think we look like when we’re dancing after one too many rum and Diet Cokes.
Wilson made it to the third round of auditions but wasn’t selected for the boot camp. Clearly his dance skills were up to par…what could be wrong?
I do believe it was because of my gender, and that the Heat is not ready for a guy right now. In due time they’ll be open to it, though.
This is the Heat’s loss (and ours too…we’d fly to Miami to see him work it out during halftime shows!), but kudos to Wilson for showing everyone to try for what they want, even if you don’t exactly fit the mold.
